December recap

Here's a brief recap (mostly just pictures) of some of the things we did during the month of December...

This was at the party for the marching band students, which the Tigerettes (baton twirlers) coach graciously hosted at her house.

The party was only a couple of days before his birthday, and his students bought him cupcakes and sang Happy Birthday to him at the party


For his birthday, we went out to eat, and I baked him a cake. I also bought him (us) tickets to go see Jersey Boys on January 31st. Should be fun!




We also attended a party hosted by my church. They had a pot luck after the service one Sunday, then had a gift exchange.

We also sat in line in our car one night to see Starry Nights. This is a spectacular light display that Memphis brought back this year after a decade of darkness. It is set up along a mile and a half of trail (that you drive through) at Memphis' Shelby Farms park. There are over a million eco-friendly lights on display. The pictures don't do it justice (plus I was too busy trying to look at it all to actually take any good pictures), which is why I didn't take many.
