Travels

Albert and I have been doing some fun traveling over the past week. Last Friday, we left Memphis for Kansas City to visit my family for a few days. (We were able to tour the site for the new performing arts center that is being built there, which was pretty neat. I'll post those pictures later.) Then, Wednesday, we flew to Denver to visit some friends. We had a full day yesterday and got so many great pictures, I thought I should post a bunch of them.

Then, we walked around Golden for awhile, ate lunch at a great pizza place, and got some of the best ice cream I've ever had.  We also walked down to a creek that runs through Golden.  Some of the group was brave enough to go put their feet in, but the water was absolutely freezing, so I said "No thanks!"  This is me and Huei up on the bridge above the creek.

Then, we drove up one of the mountains nearby to get some great views.

We drove to this point....
Then, walked up this trail...
to the very top.

Then, we went into downtown Denver, to see the university where Mike works, and to have dinner.  It was a great day.  We both love it here - Albert's practically ready to move, but as much as I love it right now, I'm not sure I could handle the winter.  I'm looking forward to seeing many other great things in the next few days.  So, check back for more pictures.
