My new piano!

Out with the old...

And in with the new....

About seven or eight months ago, I mentioned to Albert that I thought that I had about played my good old Kimball to death.  It was really starting to wear down, and I was afraid we were going to have to start putting more money into it, in order to keep it playing, than it was worth.  He immediately said, "Let's go get you a new one," and the search was on.  I knew I wanted a Yamaha, but I also new that I couldn't afford one brand new.  So, I began keeping an eye on craiglist, eBay, etc. for a used one, in good condition that was in our price range.  Finally, after about 6 months of looking, and after having driven as far as Dallas, TX to look at a piano, I found this one.  As luck would have it, a woman here in Memphis had listed it on craiglist.  So, after going back to play it multiple times, we took the plunge and said "We'll take it."

Then, we spent the last six weeks trying desperately to sell the Kimball.  Soooo.....the Kimball finally sold yesterday, was moved out of the house this afternoon, and the Yamaha was brought in!  I'm looking forward to having it tuned and having a bit of work done on it to make it sound just how I want it to.  And now I think I'm going to go practice.  :)
